An essential oil diffuser bracelet is a fabulous resource to have in your essential oil kit. You can take the scent of your favorite essential oils with you everywhere — right on your wrist!
Types of Essential Oil Diffuser Bracelets
There are loads of
What are they for anyway? A diffuser bracelet is a great, portable way to take your favorite essential oil blend with you everyday.
No matter the type of diffuser bracelet you choose, they all work basically the same.
Simply add the essential oils to the bracelet (on the cotton bad, the clay or lava beads, or directly to the leather). Let it dry before putting it on (to avoid any possible skin reactions from undiluted essential oils).
Ready to pick out your favorite?
1. Diffuser Bracelet Locket
If you like to customize your essential oil diffuser bracelet’s scent but change it often, then this is the project for you.
Find a diffuser bracelet style that has a locket but is in a color and fit that you like best. I prefer this rose gold “Tree of Life” locket gift set.
It comes with colorful felt pads that are reusable for different scents, and 1 bottle of Lavender essential oil. This makes the perfect gift for that special lady in your life (or a Mother’s Day gift too!).
How to use your diffuser bracelet locket: add 3-4 drops of your favorite oil or blends to the felt pad and enjoy the aroma all day.
2. Lava Bead Essential Oil Diffuser Bracelets
A lava bead bracelet is just as easy to make. Simply string beads and a few lava beads (make sure you purchase natural beads that aren’t coated in wax so they will absorb the essential oils), knotting off the ends.

If you’d prefer to purchase your bead diffuser bracelet, lava bead
I love the natural lave stone bracelets as they are a great option for kids (and moms). You could even get matching bracelets in just the right size.
How to use a lava bead essential oil bracelet: just like the diffuser bracelet locket, simply add a few drops of your favorite oil to the lava beads.
Tip: there’s no need to apply essential oils to every single bead!
3. Leather Essential Oil Diffuser Bracelets
If a leather bracelet is more your style (or you want something easy for your kids to wear) there are plenty of those too!

I don’t really make many leather items as it’s just easier to purchase them! Here is a link to one of my favorites from Amazon. It is also a great choice for the man in your life who wants a more masculine look.
How to use a leather essential oil bracelet: add 3-4 of essential oil to the leather band (or the cotton bad for charm section if the bracelet has one), away from your skin.
4. Essential Oil Charm Diffuser Bracelets
These are hands-down my favorite types of bracelets (and necklaces!). With a charm-style bracelet, there’s a locket-style area with a small felt or cotton pad.
I bought this charm bracelet as the style works well for going out or to church, anytime you want something that kicks up your style just a notch.
How to use an essential oil charm bracelet: add a few drops of essential oil to the felt pad before placing it inside the charm holder.
How to make a diffuser bracelet
Diffuser jewelry is a fun project to work on with your kids. You can make pendant style diffuser necklaces but I think bracelets are perfect for the first project for kids.
They are easy to make and can be personalized in so many ways. Everyone can choose their favorite essential oils – you’ll probably want to make a few different bracelets for all your favorite oils.
You only need a few things to make a diffuser bracelet (note: these are not the exact products I used in the photos. I did try to find similar items for your convenience.
- Terra-cotta or white clay (this air dry clay works best)
- Small decorative stamps
- Craft glue
- Craft beads
- Jewelry cord
- Plant Therapy essential oils <– my favorite brand!
Start by pinching off small pieces of clay, similar in size to the beads you are using. Roll them into beads then use the toothpick to poke a small hole through the center.
When you’ve made all the beads you need (you really only need 1 or 2 per bracelet) choose a few small stamps to add some decorative touches.
Follow the instructions on the clay for drying.
Once your beads have dried, string them with your decorative beads onto the leather cording or jewelry cord until it’s the desired length.
Tie off the cord and use a bit of glue to adhere the ends. That’s all there is to it!
It’s very easy to make your own essential oil diffuser bracelet!
Using your Essential Oil Bracelet
Just like the diffuser necklace, pour 1-2 drops of essential oil onto the clay beads before putting the essential oil diffuser bracelet on your wrist.
Diffuser bracelets are another great way to enjoy the benefits of essential oils and it’s a perfect project for kids.

Now that you know all about the different styles of essential oil diffuser bracelets (and how to use each type of bracelet), what are you planning to diffuse?
I have a few recipe ideas for you! You only need to add a few drops of essential oil to a bracelet at anytime.
