About the Author:

Danielle Sade, BSc, CAHP has over thirty years of experience teaching and practicing complementary health practices where she creates educational certification programs in aromatherapy and also leads workshops in making natural product formulations for personal and professional use.

She's passionate about sharing the sound scientific basis upon which aromatherapy is built and making this invaluable information available to everyone. The aromatic molecules of a plant not only have the power to shift the way you feel but the essential oils from plants also have powerful therapeutic properties. It's the dynamics of these therapeutic actions that form the foundation in Danielle's successful approach to skin care.

Danielle was also inspired to write this book because she herself has experienced skin sensitivities that didn't improve even after visits to skin specialists and conventional therapies. When the symptoms didn't subside, she took matters into her own hands and sought out a natural-medicine healing approach through essential oils.

Each drop of essential oil contains a natural pharmacy.

Review of The Aromatherapy Beauty Guide

The Aromatherapy Beauty Guide is a great book for anyone that's interested in making their own personal care products. I love the glossy, colorful pages. It's like reading a beautiful magazine!

The section on essential oils is wonderful - with detailed information about each oil and how they work for different skin types as well as their benefits and scientific information about each one. I especially like how she includes careful dilution guidelines for each one (something that's often confusing for those who are new to essential oils).

The real highlight of this book is the section on formulations. You won't find just a collection of recipes. Instead, you'll look at the base recipe, and by using the charts in this section, completely personalize your final product. By the end of the section, you'll know how to make your own cleaners, toners, moisturizing creams, serums, facial masks, exfoliants, and even more. There's even a section about creating personal care products for the men in your life.

It's the perfect book for all levels of essential oil users who are interested in making personal care products for themselves and their family.
